Pass: Explain the purposes of different types of single camera production
Explain the use of single camera techniques

-Start with a clear definition of what a single camera production is
-Provide a brief history of the techniques from early Hollywood to modern TV
-Discuss how SCPs differ from a multi-camera production. In this section, you must first explain what a MCP is to make the comparison. You may use illustrations to support your points.
-Advantages & Disadvantages

In a single camera production, only one camera is used to film the whole scene. It would involve going over the same scene multiple times, with the camera in different locations. As well, each of the camera angles and various shots are taken with the same camera. The single camera technique works best in scenes where face to face conversations take place. The single came production came into the industry in the 1910's, around the same time the classical Hollywood cinema began, and has remained the usual mode of production for cinema.

In a multi-camera production, which is another method of filmmaking and video production, several cameras are employed on the set and simultaneously record or broadcast a sceneMultiple-camera shooting is the only way that an ensemble of actors presenting a single performance before a live audience can be recorded from multiple perspectives. Also for standard, dialogue-driven domestic situation comedies, the multi-camera technique, which is cheaper and takes less production time compared to a single camera production, is typically used.
